Seems like this new job is gonna make me put on a few ounces, or even pounds. There is free this and free that every single day. And this is not counting the packets of sugar it takes to make the coffee and tea-like beverages a little more palatable.
There is often a tray of cookies on a table somewhere. Otherwise there are candies and chocolates in a dish somewhere else. I'm not accustomed to this much temptation. Luckily there's a cafeteria where one can get a salad, fruit, and, unfortunately, huge bagels one can slather with all the butter or cream cheese one can stand (and I can stand a lot).
It's going to take discipline.
Wednesday was my birthday and now I am one year older (although I don't think the year just adds itself onto you in that single day). I'm starting to feel a little bit creaky in the knees. My husband keeps telling me I need to exercise. I didn't know that was one of the remedies for creaky knees. But I ought to try it and see.
Happy belated birthday. If you enjoy the snacks AND exercise, you should be good. One counters the other right? LOL As for the creaky knees...I don't know. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the birthday wishes!
ReplyDeleteMy commute has doubled in length so I'll really have to find a way to get in that exercise. Perhaps by never taking the elevator.
It's kind of a monotonous job so it's hard to resist the snacks. I've taken to having my drinks unsweetened. They are a lot worse that way but I just don't want to buy any new clothes.
Whoo HOoooo Happy Birthday Diedra!! ok2 i'm late. I hope you had fun celebrating with your love ones.
